GREY CUP PICK

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will play in their fourth consecutive Grey Cup and continue to be a model CFL franchise. However, the Montreal Alouettes defence is heating up at the right time.

Best Bet Alouettes +7.5 (-110)

The Bombers led the league in points per game (33) and fewest points allowed (20.9), and flexed their offensive and defensive muscle in a 24-13 victory over the B.C. Lions in the West final. The Alouettes weren’t expected to be here, but after five straight wins to finish the regular season and beating the high-powered Argonauts in the East final — picking off four quarterback Chad Kelly passes — we're buying in. Shawn Lemon and Darnell Sankey lead a dominant Montreal pass rush that has combined for four sacks this post-season. They should be able to put pressure on Zach Collaros and make this a tightly contested Grey Cup. The Alouettes have allowed just 14.1 points per game in their last seven.
