Ontario- based Farm Boy is opening its 10th Toronto store on Feb. 9 at Sugar Wharf.

Store, located at Sugar Wharf, to provide city with 125 jobs

FARES ALGHOUL,

Ontario-based food retailer Farm Boy is opening a new store on the waterfront next month.

Set to open Feb. 9, the 29,600square-foot location at Sugar Wharf will be the 10th Farm Boy to open in Toronto and the 47th in Ontario, the food retailer said in a news release on Monday.

“We’re excited to welcome customers to our Sugar Wharf location,” Farm Boy president Shawn Linton said in the news release. “We will continue to offer a wide range of freshly made grab-and-go options for customers looking for a quick and tasty breakfast, lunch, or dinner, as well as the freshest seasonal produce and highest quality meat options.”

Located at 100 Queens Quay E., the store will provide 125 jobs.

The new store is only about 500 metres from another Farm Boy location at 207 Queens Quay E., which opened in 2021, and three kilometres from the Front and Bathurst store, which also opened that year. Seven of the 10 Toronto locations opened since 2020.

Like other Farm Boy stores, this one on Queens Quay will feature farm-fresh produce with organic in-season products, butchery, plenty of plant-based and vegan items, snacks bar and a burger station.
