Arrows cease operations
The Toronto Arrows, the lone Canadian entry in Major League Rugby, “will cease operations, effectively immediately,” the league announced Monday. The Arrows, who joined the league in 2019, finished last in their injury-plagued 2023 season with a 1-13-2 record. The team’s president and majority owner, Bill Webb, died from prostate cancer in August.
