Moving spa a few hundred metres is no solution

I have great respect for Ken Greenberg on urban planning matters, but he misfires badly when suggesting the Therme Spa be moved from Ontario Place to the site of the nearby Better Living Centre, which would be demolished.

This is a wonderful mid-century modern building of recognized heritage merit — we have lost enough of these already. But even if another site on the Exhibition grounds was available, we have already privatized too much of these lands with hotels and other projects serving private interests, while demolishing the Midway and other things that made the CNE fun for people of modest means.
