U.S. track star Lashinda Demus became an Olympic champion on Thursday, at age 40 and more than a decade after the 2012 London Games. Demus was reallocated the gold medal in the 400metre hurdles because of the disqualification of first-place finisher Natalya Antyukh, based on evidence in the Russian doping scandal.
