New series to explore classic music videos

From Michael Jackson ’s “Thriller” to Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” the most seminal music videos of all time will get their close-ups in a new TV series being developed by Insight Productions and Fela.
“Video Star” is expected to explore the making of and cultural impact of music videos from the 1970s through today, according to a news release.
Fela, the production company Director X co-founded with Taj Critchlow, is partnering with Insight, the company behind programs like “The Amazing Race Canada” and “Canadian Idol,” to develop the show.
