How we can preserve the trees at Osgoode Hall
Judge orders temporary halt to removal of trees, Feb. 6
I am offering a solution that both preserves these priceless trees at Osgoode Hall, and leave the historic Campbell House untouched.
Start by removing, and preserving any historic elements from the islands on University Avenue adjacent to Queen Street.
Then choose any one of those locations to drill the required keyhole access shaft. The dump trucks can easily use the much wider University Avenue, and therefore avoid making the left hand turn at University Avenue.
Regardless of the final choice, the underground tunnel will pass by all of them.
Considering Metrolinx’s track record with construction delays on the Eglinton Crosstown, do they really have a credible argument.
