■Rory Linkletter set a Canadian record for the half-marathon, covering a Houston course in 61 minutes and eight seconds and beating Jeff Shiebler’s mark, set in 1999, by 20 seconds. Linkletter, from Calgary, finished eighth on Sunday.

■Joey Anderson completed a hat trick 1:06 into overtime to give the Marlies a 4-3 win over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The Leafs’ AHL affiliate won its sixth straight game and improved to 17-10-1-1.
