Tear 24 Sussex down, start over

The problem with the PM’s house, Jan. 13

If 24 Sussex Drive needs $36.6 million for repairs, here’s a suggestion: Tear it down.

The building has no architectural merit, so why not build a modern, beautiful and functional residence for our prime minister? Make it a showcase for Canadian architecture. Stage a competition for Canadian architects to design the new structure.
