Election attack ads are a sickening phenomenon

Re Ontario voters, be prepared for the nastiest election yet, Oct. 14

I read Bob Hepburn’s column on the upcoming provincial election attack ads with utter dismay.

First, why do we need mind-numbing electoral ads eight months before the actual provincial election?

Second, if your party is looking for credibility, just tell Ontarians what you will do for them, not sling mud and bile with nasty, disingenuous attack ads.

Do we really have to copy the woeful American style of campaigning, which practically has that country on the verge of a civil war?

I guess I will need a good supply of Gravol to counter the next eight months of election nausea.
