Shell, 39, won Cup with Stampeders

Lin-J Shell, who played seven CFL seasons with four teams, died at age 39. The cause of death was not immediately known. Shell was a defensive back with the Argonauts, Lions, Stampeders and Blue Bombers. All four clubs, along with the CFL Alumni Association, took to social media to express their condolences to his family. Shell was the Argos’ top rookie in 2009 and won a Grey Cup with Calgary in 2014.
