Sorenstam on top at U.S. Senior

Annika Sorenstam shot a 3-under 69, racing to finish before dark, to take a three-stroke lead after the second round of the U.S. Senior Women’s Open in Fairfield Conn. The 50-year-old Sorenstam, a three-time U.S. Women’s Open champion making her first appearance in the senior event, birdied three straight holes to get to 8-under 136. Playing partner Liselotte Neumann was in second place at 5-under.
